Am I alone?

am i the only one out there who's ready to her some good "fresh" east coast music? In my opinion, 95% of the east coast music thats been released in the past couple months has very "eehhh" at best. Average. Just my poinion. I mean, I understand it's all copy-catin as far as lyrics go ( for the most part ) but damn, not a whole lot seems to stand out anymore. Az said it best " whatever happened to the realness from back in the past?" .B.E.Z.

Yeah I agree...

EVERYTHING has been some shit right now. Seems likes nigga ain't hungry like they used to be!

I understand that what used

I understand that what used to run hip hop (east coast) is now falling off but at the same time some are tring to bring back the real. I realy like camron and the whole dipset movement! Nas is tring and also younger kids that just came in the game. Give it some time and i hope that mc'ing will come back instead of this garbage singing crap that they call hip hop now!!! On the real get every Joe Budden you can, dude speaks from the heart not BS!

yeah kinda seems like ny artists are confused,, there was the time banout 3-4 years ago just before the south took over that artists like cory guns, stack bundles r.i.p,jae millz,jr writer, saigon, maino, grafh, gravy, jae hood and papoose where lookin like they were really going to do something ,,,then all of a sudden their buzz dissapeared and now everyone has forgotten about them.....and mind you ,,of all those artists i just named,,,(besides writer), non of them have droppped an album yet which i think is really unfortunate, because as far as skillz went ,,these cats were killing it .....now it seems they used all their hunger in those earlier years got hyped up and the next saviors of new york,,,but ended up with nothing to show......damn shame!!

good point's

All those artist you mentioned from NY all suffered the concequences of 50 ruinin the mixtape game, just my opinion. Think about it, you said it and i remember, all them dudes had somethin to give hip-hop and were all able ( lyrically ) to be bonefide stars. Once 50 blew mostly due to his m/t success, label's were more likely to give you a m/t deal expecting or hoping for the same results 50 had. I think when labels realized rappers werent creating the same type of buzz, they looked elsewhere for the money they havent been generating, and at that time southern artist's were starting to come outta the wood work, all wit catchy hooks and mostly bubble gum beats. The south is a different kinda environment then the west and east, we all know that. What will fly in the west for tight lyrics mite not in the east or south, and vice-versa. My question is, where are all those hungry m.c's? The new breed of m.c that's suppesed to hold it down for us now? I think stack said it best when it comes to the game "listen, if you listenin to this its evident you tryna figure out if im dude/or maybe somebody told you im that dude/or maybe you 1 of the few that disagree wit me and got ya own views about whos really that dude/ well, the south movement got 10 months left/ amd come valentines day the game'l merge to the west/ and i feel its absurd that the east is sellin the less/ screamin new york new york the pioneer suposed to be the best/ You blame it on the vets for our current state of the game/they wont retire so the generations just remain the same/ bunch of opertunist that was given opertunity to make a difference in music but gave no opertunity/ nothin new or fresh its just the same ass sound/ same old producers wit the same ass sound/ Up-and-comin artist's got identity crisis, cause when ever you YOU the labels turn you away but when you me you think of a way/ to cast the critism aside get on the track say what the fuck you wanna say/the radios gonna play whatever the listeners say they should and not what the listeners say they should / indeed they should, indeed i should, smack a few niggas like suge/ and then they'l black ball me, and thats a long story/ no cross over so i wrote the cross over/ but if the album sell out id be considered a sellout/ the fans keep askin when the album gon come out/ ask ya local execs im out." R.I.P. nigga. You were brilliant. B.E.Z.

I like the creativity

I like the creativity applied to a picture. Ever hear of Shadowhare? Shadowhare has nothing to do with male pattern baldness; he is a real life urban superhero. He and his group, the Allegiance of Heroes, patrol the streets of Cincinnati fighting crime and helping people in trouble, replete with masks and costumes. It does take courage, especially since they have purported to be willing to perform a citizen's arrest on anyone they find up to no good, and they are armed with handcuffs and pepper spray. Some members of Cincinnati PD would get a quick payday loan to get him to go away, but it's apparent he isn't. So long as his crime fighting doesn't lead to needing debt relief from missing work, Shadowhare is part of growing trend.
