put it like dis homey these r tru facts... the Screwed Sound was started in Florida but Disco Dave was Slowing Music Down since the Early Eighties I remember when Tampa was Doing it But Dave Started it. Just Like the Brother was the first to say Wiggle, Wiggle Skeet, Skeet which Lil Jon used in a song. Just wanted that Known While Houston may have heard it due to Tampa Dave Started it Bruh Houston Got fame from it No disrespect to Screw Rest In Peace but Houston, ATL & every Southern State got their Swagger From Florida from Grillz to Rims Peace! Screwed music was started in Tampa, FL by a few DJ's in the late 80's. There was a guy named Money B who had a tape deck that recorded at a faster speed, therefore the music played back slower. The style was picked up by a group of DJ's named Bass Style Express, and Jam Pony Express in 89', and later by Rock It Rod Dj's in the mid 90's. During that time, a baseball player by the name of Dereck Bell was playing in Texas, and would take the tapes over to the Houston area, where Screw picked it up. He would later get credit for a style that was started in FL. Screw was able to take it to the masses, but FL, AL, and GA were already bumpin "Slowed Down Tapes" for many years before...
