This is how it usually work in the industry with kats that know the underground game and have a lil respect there, they turn to the Mixtapes even after they sign a big time Record deal into a big Marketing/Promo Tool, such as what Mane did with Warner Bros this year, and in turn he let his assigned Marketing Agents market him to his Audience with a Larger Budget, they appropriated funds just for marketing purposes, and just get in the studio for Promo Tracks, Free-styles and a lot of talkin up his up-coming album and putting some controversial messages in his shit like Dissin Big time Elite Rappers like Jay Z, Lil Wayne, and Jeezy.. All Rappers know when other Bigger rappers retaliate with their own track it's free Publicity and marketing for them just being mentioned.

Those tracks are then Distributed to the big time DJ's around the country, every DJ get a Free Promo Disk of all these tracks to yell ova and sell or distribute for free on compilations, It's up to the DJ if they want to have a Featured Artist, and that usually depends on how many tracks they got from that artist and it's also up to the DJ to decide if he even like that Artist enough to put him on, sometimes they have no choice because of how hot a particular artist is, it turns into a business at that point just to sell shit..

So everybody got a lil blame in this, it aint just the artist, sometimes they the last to know they even have a mixtape out on them... Gucci Mane is tryin to get into the Mainstream now, he know his Gimmick aint gonna be popular forever so he's tryin to get as much bread out of it as possible.. Thats what i respect about him, if he pulls it off and sell a couple of Million outta all of this he's doing..

So you pretty much gotta deal with the fact that Mixtapes aint what they use to be back in the day, it's more like Clear Channel now, soon you gonna probably have commercials in between some of these Mixtapes as they get more and more Commercial.. we gonna have to turn to another medium soon to find unknown artist and unheard potential talents out there soon
