why are they bringing hip hop down? cause you don't like it? 50 made this song to sell the album that's it. to get his money. he talked about the same shit on GRODT. everyone always has a definition of what hip hop is. if i remember right hip hop was more than being lyrical and talking about the issues in the hood. hip hop is an evolving expression. and if they ain't "true" hip hop than go support the artists you like and buy a fucking album. think, if another 499,999 like your artist than he should go gold and that would guarantee another album maybe more. but not everyone buys albums and then y'all wonder why you hear more 50 and kanye (alot of there fans buy albums)then everyone else. and can you really say you know hip hop? you don't look older than 20 and if you bought even half the albums before your time you'd be broke and that doesn't even include the recent ones.

if 50's story is true than he was in the hood and he got shot up then became a millionaire. he started in the HOOD. it ain't realistic to think that hip hop is going to be the same forever. there isn't going to be another tupac/biggie combo ever. their whole lives they never made close to as much money as these rappers. what they did made it possible for people like 50/diddy/jay to get their money. and they have charities that help some people in the hood (like the gunity foundation). you may not like it but they're helping the people in the hood after you. money talks to me. i'd rather have someone help me out of the hood than give me a song i can relate to. it ain't like they turned their backs on the old artists, if anything they show respect all the time. it's like jordan and kobe. kobe is the new jordan but that doens't mean he's better. if there were no jordan, chances are there would be no kobe.
