lol

I Wish they stop trying to Immortalize Lil Wayne, he's not on that level yet.. he could be in time but with him slippin into this lazy pop rap shit his status could be stepped on if he's not careful, hopefully he get out of prison with a renewed sense of reclaiming what people once thought was a great artist, and clever lyricist.
If he come out of Prison with that same ass Auto-tune, lollipoppish, borderline gay shit again, i don't think too many DJ's are going to be comparing him to greatness anymore..

a legend is a legebd

a legend is a legebd regardless of what you say. weezy held it down to long yall niggas can hate but wake up and smell the coffee this nigga left his mark on hip hop wheather yall like it or not. yall sound like a bunch of conspirators if yall dont like this nigga being on top then do something rap hustle your money up slime your way through the industry and take him down if you cant do that hire a rapper stop all that bitching. he's a legend because he got his own lane own way of rap let him do him. I HAD TO FLUSH OUT THE FEELING OF ME BEING THE SHIT CUZ I KEPT LEAVING SKIDMARKS ON EVERY WERE I SIT... WEEZY said i see why he tired of shitting on yall niggas stop bitching yall come on here just to hate you dont like weezy keep it pushing but the fans dont wanna hear dat shit tell your favorite rapper to rap better hoe ass niggas. find his addresse or what ever and plead for this nigga to do something about wayne fucking losers

Weezy hasn't held anything

Weezy hasn't held anything down, and sure as hell hasn't left a mark on hip hop. Sure he's left his mark on the pop culture. But what artist hasn't. Big props to Lil Wayne's ghostwrite. Go out and make your own money and your own spotlight.

WTF??

You can't put BOB MARLEY and lil wayne even remotely in the same class. BOB MARLEY is a true LEGEND, who spat meaningful, life changing, politically challenging, love inspiring lyrics. Lil wayne aint my favourite flavour, I'll admit that. But shit man, Bob and wayne in the same sentence is an insult to Bobs memory! I think the word legend gets used in a trivial way nowadays. When I think of 'legends' in the Hip-Hop game, I think Biggie, KRS-One, Styles P, 2pac, Wu tang-true legends, I mean look what they done for Hip-Hop (Many, many missed of that list-many. What has wayne done in comparison? He's spent his career chewin on an autotune. Fire back what you like, I don't give a fuck. Just don't dishonour the memory of a true legend like Bob Marley by attaching some flip-flop rapper to his name and legacy, and claim he is of the same status, cuz he aint-PERIOD! REAL RECOGNISES REAL!

Marley and Wayne -

this shit blows my mind because just today i was like i wish there was a mixtape with wayne and marley, waynes not a legend yet no doubt but who is snoop, wutang, jayz? hell no waynes closer then anyone as a hiphop voice of a generation and tupac was before him in my opinion anyway an i'm always down to get a new mixtape with old wayne songs to new beats
hiphopchild's picture

this would have been a better

match up with Marley & DMX...RIP Marley and FREE DMX I could only imagine how dope it would be to hear a mash up of Marley's rebel music or bad boys mixed with DMX's Slippin'...G!

Legend

lil wayne might be a legend to some in a few states in america. But Bob Marley is a legend in the whole world, cos his music was beautyful, positive and educational. You can't hardly say the same about waynes music, and wayne is btw pretty unknown outside america. I for one does not consider wayne a legend, busta is more of a legend in the rap game than him. I bet it's only kids who consider him legend, cos they been brainwash by the media through all the attention they gave him the last few years. too bad so many let the media dictate their taste, it's like that with all music genres, I mean how the fuck did someone like keesha got so huge, cos the media choice to make her huge. it's all about label politic to get as many cash out of the consumers, and too many, mainly kids, let them which is sad.

Kids stop thinking for themselves years ago

When i saw about 10 or 15 years ago Clear Channel making moves to gobble up all the Radio stations around the US and across sea's and Viacom making moves to buy up all of the Music TV Channels, i knew that was the beginning to the end of our free choice of music and the beginning to control and heavy censorship, Both of these Mammoth companies now own 2 Trillion in Media control, and have dictated what is heard, how long it's going to be heard and have changed the game from people choosing what music they want by calling in and requesting it to giving the record labels of the artist more control over how their music is played over a segmented amount of time, they pay for Time slots now, Now it doesn't matter what the people like anymore, it's "how much money your willing to put up to advertise your music across our airwaves".
If your a Local Artist from back in the day and still in it today, ya'll know what im talking about, you use to be able to submit your tape and after they screen it and edit it they'd play it over the air the next couple of days and play it throughout the week, now they wont even look at your tape if you don't have at least a G on you to put the tape on air..
And thats why i stopped listening to Radio nearly a decade ago, well not for music, i pay attention to it for News, and what clubs are opening or concerts coming into town, when music starts up i plug my zune in, I refuse to be subliminally mind controlled by the powers that be telling me what i think i should like, i haven't even watched BET or MTV in almost 15 years, i don't even know what they even show anymore.
