My Review

Part 1 - I loved Nas' album The Lost Tapes & the song "No Idea's Original" but I didn't like the way it blended into "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash but the Flash track into the D.O.C. track was better. Part 2 - The Ghostface track "Mighty Healthy" is one of my favorites off of Supreme Clientele but when it blends into Pun it sounds cluttered until it fades out. I think he should've cut the Pun music out & just let Pun spit over the "Mighty Healthy" beat until it faded out & then he should've brought the Pun beat in. I forgot the name of the next old school instrumental but the blend into & out of it was good. The DJ talking while Kool G. Rap was spitting wasn't necessary. Part 3 - This is some shit I NEVER heard, Biggie actually spittin' Lil Kim's verses from "Queen Bitch" (of course he wrote it) off her classic 1st album Hard Core. I used to bump the hell out of that CD. It blended ok into the Short Dog track "Too Short" but nothing spectacular. That blended into another Nas track off of Stillmatic, "2nd Childhood". I think he tried to hard on that one & it came off a little distorted. The next track is tight as hell, I guess it's Jay Electronica but I never heard it before. That finally blends into Common & it works because it was no words from the preceding track to get in the way. Part 4 - This started off nice until the beats started running into each other. You have 2 to 3 beats playing at one point with 2 dudes freestyling over it, making it sound too cluttered. This ends with the bangin' ass Scarface track "Emeritus". Scarface went off on that track. Overall it was a good effort from DJ White Mike but the music just sounded too cluttered at the blends. He picked some great songs tho & I think he should do this one over. Peace.
