Carter 3 album has been certified 3x Platinum in the U.S. with sales of over 3 million copies, and Gold, 2 and 3X platinum in several other countries, making it Lil Wayne's highest selling album. even after the album leaked 2 months in advanced!.
4 Singles were released from it, and 5 other Non-studio album singles from his mixtapes were also some of the hottest Billboard chart songs in the nation (Mrs officers wasn't even declared an official album release and it was on the top of the billboard charts for 4 weeks before wayne said it was going to be on the album.
Wayne beat out 50 cent's record of selling a platinum album in the shortest period of time, C3 went platinum in only 5 days.
the album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album at Grammy Awards.
The man is part owner of one of the biggest Rap labels in the country and has his side labels that he doesn't share ownership with which will probably branch out like Eminem did with 50 cent, but under the umbrella of Young Money and Cash Money/Universal.
