This tape is aight if you into Mos Def, Talib, Lupe and all them other type of rappers. This ain't my thing but it's a decent tape. It sucks that the file is only one mp3 file though. So glad my nikka Jay Gettin some respect, i knew ya'll seeking real Hip hop would get into this dude, But wow didn't expect the high praise! Hope he get a record deal soon after releasin this, these tracks had been out for a min but they are all his latest releases no doubt

Near Black History month and all, it's perfect timing for this, very talented artist and producer, he loves his black Roots as well as his birthplace, always injecting some lyric or flow from his early childhood in New Orleans.. I like how he inserts his Afrocentric style sometimes without overwhelming it at you like like NAS do which comes out sometimes borderline racist. To all that think The South is killing hip hop, look no Further than this "DEEP SOUTH" kat, he kinda switched gear a lil, You don't hear too much of this style coming out of the south, just shows you the diversity in a city like N.O. Really, i guess thats why im into all sorts of music, and Open minded to good shit, and disappointed when we take steps backwards.

It looks like he pick his style while living in other cities too, unlike other kats that go to other cities to change their style, he go and learn how he can put it all in his style.

Production wise, it's a lil dull but he flows over most tracks like they were meant to be like this.

10/10 for the thinking out of the ordinary south type of style, clinging on to his Southern Roots and reintroducing something like Real Hip Hop.. and for a mixtape it's well done

If you listened to a lil of this and didn't like it, go back and listen to it again, you might change your opinion. If not then real Hip Hop is just not for ya..
