Troy is from Augusta, and If you listen to his 'We ready I declare war' cd from 98 before all that lil john crunk shit took off, all he mention is Augusta. He went to high school down here to. He got his system put in that big truck he had at the Circuit City down here to. DSGB orginated in Augusta, Troy just got a couple connects and took off to the ATL, and just start reppin ATL. Alot of people dont respect Troy, most of the time his shows dont even last down here, people start throwin beer bottles and shit. I dig his music personally and don't give a shit about all that...but everyones entitled to their opinions.

Sigh. Pastor Troy was born on Fort Sill, Oklahoma where his father was a drill sergeant but he was raised in ATL. The only reason he was in Augusta is because he attended Paine College here in Augusta, GA. During his time here at Pain is when he recorded the first album I Declare War. These are the facts. I know this because one of my potnas went to Pain College with him and was on his original street team. They used to be tight but once he blew up he lost contact with him. That is all.

He was out there with Lil Jon pushin that Crunk shit earlier on around 99-2000 era, and he dropped an album almost every year, and a mixtape around the sametime, his shit never took off, Jon blew up commercially but Pastor got the underground South club scene, you put on his shit when you wanna get real ignit, other than that his tracks usually taking up needed space for better music.. he's always been just "aiight"... and i guess he still with putting his Album tracks on the Mixtape circuit, i think thats why his shit never sells, people just wait for the mixtape edition of his album shit.

PTroy isnt a mixtape artist...actually this is the 2nd one he ever had, all the other crap is stuff fans n fake DJs put together..He has over 20 albums out most of em are underground..gotta admit sum of his recent albums aint been hittin on shit, But I been bumpin his music for yrs and he been holdin the A down

Aside from those obvious old songs, this was mostly new or recent shit. Either way, this mixtape was pretty decent. P-Troy don't disappoint much so I can expect a few hits from each tape or CD. He been around for the past 12 years & been featured with some of the best. He fucked up though by releasing his CD the same day as Bun's or Freddie Gibb's, but I just hope he didn't put too many songs from here on it. I'll give this about a 7/10. I'll play his shit over Bricksquad or the other bullshit comin' out of GA any day.
