the only time i ever seen this happen was when the Carter 3 Album leaked 2 months in advance and the album had to be moved up and new tracks had to be added, Then Wayne put a official tape out and let his fan's have all the Leaked studio tracks for 5 dollars (which was posted for free of course here lol)

Whiteowl, Jiggy and all them dudes did that shit with every album that leaked, you could get all 7 tracks of Em's new shit off of Jiggys before you could even buy the album at the store. And back when the blueprint 3 came out, how many of the songs had you not already heard when it actually dropped? I dont know what the difference if I post a link to Guccis new album on here or if I just put all the songs on a mixtape called the Gooch Man Project and post that shit, you would think the songs carry the same copyright that the album does

I dont like David Banner to much but he had an album called "The Greatest Story Ever Told" and Davin isnt the most lyrical rapper by far but the album is one story and every track is like a different scene in the story, T.I. vs T.I.P. was a story all the way thru but if you dont listen to every track in order you'd never notice. Very few people actually take the time to do shit like that nowdays
